Frequently Asked Questions
IslandAid is an approved provider by WSIB, offering certified CPR and first aid training.
Why do we need CPR?
In Ontario, approximately 7,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur annually, with a survival rate of less than 10%.( Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada ) Immediate CPR can double or triple survival rates. Given that survival rates decrease by 7-10% for every minute without intervention, learning CPR is crucial for increasing survival chances in cardiac emergencies.
